It's nice to know that I'm not a social anomaly in a country that, for various reasons, thinks geeks and nerds are an oddity of nature.
Dwayne McDuffie, God rest his soul. He showed the world that race was not a defining factor in being able to write and create amazing stories that have stood the test of time. The mere mention of his name to geeks, both black and white, evokes respect and awe. I want to write like that one day.
Twitter mostly. A few on facebook as well. I prefer Twitter though, since I can geek out without getting strange looks from others. Mostly.
Easy. Gyrating suggestively during the team up moment in The Avengers. I got caught up in the moment and celebrated, forgetting that there were folks behind me, who were treated to a spinning version of my hindquarters.

So much to choose from. My biggest impact as a Blerd came from reading The Hobbit at 9. Since then, I've come to respect nature's authority over the planet more and more.
Quite a few actually. An extremely talented and self taught Jamaican animator @IamCorretta, GeekMundo.net's Editor, @SeattleSlim and fellow Deadpool fan, @HereIsMySpout. On the celebrity side, @rosariodawson, @aishatyler, @NeilTyson (of course)
Don't ever compromise being a blerd just to fit in. To quote Tyrion, "Wear it like armour, and it can never be used to hurt you."
