Bio

Currently working on a Masters degree at the University of Houston. Afterwards I intend to pursue a PhD in Sociology studying religion and minority geek cultures. In my spare time I like to read comics, play table top role playing games and watch B movies and sci fi films.

  • Who is your blerd role model? Why?

    I'd have to say Avery Brooks. His role as Captain Sisko on Deep Space 9 was powerful. It was the first time I got to see a black man in sci fi really take charge.

  • How do you stay connected to other blerds?

    I use twitter and facebook mostly.

  • What’s your most awkward blerd moment?

    I don't believe in being awkward! :)

  • What’s your favorite word/phrase?

    "Indeed" or "well then"

  • What are your goals/passions?

    To get my PhD. But outside of that I want to see more people of color in the art work of table top rpgs. And to maybe one day write for an rpg company. Yeah that would be nice.

  • What are you listening to, watching, or reading that impacts you or that is giving you a different perspective?

    It's hard to say. I read a lot of different things for my Masters degree. I guess it's all sociological.

  • Are there any famous, or not-so-famous, people that you think would be a great addition to BlerdNation?

    Christopher Judge. I'm not sure if he's on here but he should. Teal'c was awesome

  • What advice would you give to other blerds?

    I know it's trite but "be yourself".

  • If you could have a power what would it be?

    Flight, flying would be fun.
