  • I am BlerdNation because...

Community and discussion with like-minded individuals is important in a world that becomes increasingly less social.

  • Who is your blerd role model? Why?

Mr. President Barack Obama. Not so much because of his politics (though I tend to lean left, i consider myself more of a Centrist.) But because he's achieved something incredible and stands for something, a new era in our History. Beyond him..I'm not sure I have any Blerd role models. Just role models.

  • How do you stay connected to other blerds?

Honestly I do not personally know any Blerds. Sad, but in Salt lake City not that surprising. I stay connected through multiplayer experiences on PSN, Twitter, Tumblr, and Facebook.

  • What’s your most awkward blerd moment?

Very few. I am proud of who I am as a person and what I am interested in. Though, recently in a company meeting I compared the company (a small real estate web and mobile solutions company) to the, at the time, coming up company of Ouya. Nobody knew what I was talking about and when I mentioned video game they blew me off. A bit uncomfortable, but my point was still valid.

  • What’s your favorite word/phrase?

    Om Mani Padme Hum.

  • What are your goals/passions?

My goals are simple. Happiness, being the best that I can be and consistently evolving. I'd like to be able to look back each year and say I am better now than I was then. My passions are the people in my life, gaming, graphic design and music.

  • What are you listening to, watching, or reading that impacts you or that is giving you a different perspective?

I am consistently seeking out new information, new music and new tv shows to help broaden my horizons or fill my craving. Lately it's been Classical music, Jazz, Electronic, political dramas and historical epics.

  • Are there any famous, or not-so-famous, people that you think would be a great addition to BlerdNation?

I'd love to see folks like Donald Glover, Marc Lamont Hill, GZA, Aisha Tyler and the likes of them. I would love to see nerds from all over the spectrum. Science, Design, Gaming, Comics, Politics, Literature. Everyone has something valuable to contribute and should do so.

  • What advice would you give to other blerds?

Be yourself and get out there. Don't worry about your race, your culture, or your status. Be proud, loud and open and you'll find you're far from alone.

  • Who are your favorite designers?

My favorite design style is Swiss so most of my favorite designers are involved in that movement. For instance, Max Miedinger the creator of Helvetica, Josef Müller-Brockmann my personal favorite. I also love some of the art by cats like George Olden. Design is vast and there are many unknown designers with great talents.

  • What Game(s) are you currently playing?

I am currently playing Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Madden 25 and Battlefield 4 on the Playstation 4. Black Flag is the first I have played since the original AC and I'm really loving it. It's an incredible world filled with mostly accurate historical content. The other two are just classics I get the new one every time around and always enjoy them.
